Visual and functional assessment of you and your baby

Individualized education and counseling
A written care plan will be provided and a consultation record will be sent to your pediatrician and/or obstetrician.
Two Weeks of Phone, Text, and/or E-mail follow up included with this fee.

Initial Consultation: $175 (2 hour consultation)
Follow Up Consultation: $150 (1 hour consultation)

Home or Office Lactation Consultation
Lactation consultation provided in the Location of Your choosing: Your Home, Your Hospital Room, or the Labor of Love Professional Office.

Pre and post feeding infant weights
Individualized lactation education and counseling

Follow Up Consultation $175 (1 hour consultation)

Standard milage rates will apply to locations that are > 10 minute drive from office location.

Specialty Lactation Consultation
Pre-Natal Planning, Pre-Adoption , Inducing Lactation/Re-Lactation, Return to Work, and Bereavement Lactation Consultation

Offered via Telehealth Videoconferencing, or in the Labor of Love Home Office.
​
Prenatal Consultation: Breast exam and discussion of previous breastfeeding experience if one applies, any perceived obstacles to lactation, and developing a plan for success.
​
Pre-Adoption Consultation: Visit includes discussion of Lactation goals and how to best support your family transition and a plan for Induction of Lactation if desired.
Lactation Induction/Re-Lactation Consultation: Lactation may be induced for various reasons sometimes it is desired after premature weaning or may be requested by adoptive families. Assessment and Evaluation of your anatomy /health history along with a discussion about how inducing lactation will work in your schedule and a written plan for inducing lactation will be provided.
Pre/Post Return to Work Consult : How to maintain milk supply and developing a specific plan for pumping/feeding that will work for your baby/body's needs and the routines in your work environment. Discussion will also include recommendations for feeding that can be provided to your day care, considerations when feeding pumped milk, and a written plan of care for your reference.

Bereavement Lactation Counseling: How to handle the milk that comes in despite the loss of your baby. Options for lactation management.
​
Bereavement consulting is provided free of charge.
A written care plan will be provided for all and a consultations and the record will be sent to your pediatrician and/or obstetrician.
​
2 weeks of remote follow up via phone, e-mail or text messaging.
​
Prenatal/Pre-Adoption Lactation Consultations Clients will receive the discounted Follow-Up Consultation rates for consultations that occur after the arrival of the newborn(s).
